Today I start with the claim.

Best people, best partners, best friends, best managers, best colleagues - are those who care about the context.

If I want to build deep relationships I gave a person more and more context about me over time. And I seek more and more context from another person.

At the end of the day ideally we have pretty detailed mental models of each other in our heads.

This works in any context. I propose being allergic to quick conclusions(with some exception of course, where speed is important for safety).

I’ve lived long enough to know that first impression is not reliable indicator. Eg in any relationship you really want to see how person works, how they handle difficult situations etc.
